Around the Rink

It looks like the west is once again being settled. In the Pro division The Springs Stallions are joining the mix. The Stallions are an instant rival with the Thunder, seeing as how the players have grown up playing with and against each other. Brothers Jon and Josh Ingrum are hoping to the take the expansion team into the playoffs. Coach Bill Mulhern says “Both the Pro and Semipro teams will be very competitive and will have top notch goaltending.” Time will tell, as the Western Conference is set to start play September 7th.

As for the east……… I have heard the Typhoon have a few surprises up their sleeve for the competition. Charlie Yoder may or may not be a secret weapon used to slow the game and set up the power play. I witnessed him doing just this as he dominated the 35&over tournament in Colorado Springs, as CJ Yoder played goalie. Let’s just say CJ was not as good as his old man.

I am ready for the puck drop and getting more excited for the season. See you around the rink. Be sure to send me some comments on what you want to hear Slim talk about next.
